Transformation of an area given over to the railway line has made it possible to create a corridor that forms part of the green belt of the city of Zaragoza. In the second phase, the corridor connects different areas and points of interest, by means of a boulevard and different regeneration actions. These areas include the Western park (parque del Oeste), the Oliver district, the Valdefierro district and the Imperial Canal. Key features include grade solution of the urban ‘scar’ formed at the junction with the Madrid road, renovation of the tracks, the crossroads beneath Calle Gómez Laguna and the regeneration of an industrial environment.
